The Y shaped ones are what I use. Maybe because I'm left-handed, but they work an absolute treat. I can peel a carrot in seconds and a potato in no time at all.

I use the straight one for carrots and such. I find it easier because I can go up and down and it’s peeled faster. The Y is better for me on potatoes because of the odd shapes.
