What did you cook or eat today (September 2025)?

My wife's family originally came from the isle of Elba.
I would be sliced into small pieces and fed to the fish if I ever bought frozen lasagna.

Oh I dunno - there are/were some pretty tasty ones I remember, perhaps not necessarily authentic but my first exposure to a lasagne would have probably been something like this (probably even ate some horse meat with it!):

The ones in the box picture are assembled layer-by-layer by food stylists. The closest you can get otherwise is to cut chilled squares of it, then microwave it on a plate; if you scoop hot lasagne out of a pan, you're not gonna get any even-sided shapes.
You can get a nice slice if you let it cool for a few minutes and be patient.

I know, I was being facetious. I've watched some documentaries about taking pictures of food and what the industry professionals do to achieve their results. Some of their techniques are really clever.
