What kind of music do you like?

I remember my sister buying that when it first came out. :)

I’ve re-discovered her recently after years. I’ve always liked The Fleetwood Mac then, yet for some unknown reason I’ve put them in a corner for a long time.
Today I was talking on the phone with a musician friend of mine and he mentioned Stevie Nicks. Oh, a world opened again 🙂
Your sister still has that LP?

Yesterday my musician friend asked me to help him with his podcast by choosing 10 songs, whatever musical genre, that represent something to me or simply because I like them, and then we will comment this during an online interview.
That’s my choice - at the moment:

1. La Locomotiva : Francesco Guccini (a bolognese folk singer)
2. Canzone di Marinella : Fabrizio De Andre’ (a genoese folk singer)
Both mostly for their protest songs
3. It’s a long way to the top if you wanna rock ‘n roll : AC/DC (slightly different from the two above 😅)
4. Life on Mars : David Bowie
5. Under a blood red sky: U2
6. Rocks: Primal Scream
7. Woman is loser: Janis Joplin
8. Redemption song: Bob Marley
9. Heaven knows how I’m miserable now: The Smiths (but still deciding about other songs since I like them all)
10. A forest: The Cure

I’m still deciding about the list, it’s hard to choose only 10 songs. Anyway they all represent something important to me even if in different way/life moments.

If you should write down a chart of your 10 songs of life, what it would be?

You had me at Alice in Chains! (And AiC+Pearl Jam) and Sublime and The Clash 👊🏻
This opens another world I’ve lived totally, the 90s with Grunge music.
Mother Love Bone, Nirvana, Mudhoney, Stone Temple Pilots (not particularly grunge )
