I think it’s a new(ish) Ohio law that if you sell fireworks (even the most benign sort), you have to post that now. It used to be a recommendation, but I think they made it a state requirement a little while ago.

I know it’s posted like that on several stores in my area.

I've been to 10 Walmart stores over the past week working and it's the only one with the sign. Maybe the other stores don’t sell them?

You have to post a sign here even if just selling little fireworks. It's also illegal to sell fireworks that shoot up into the sky for regular folks here, but...

Wow, how things have changed.
When I was a kid, you could buy fireworks if you were 14+, and we'd throw the bangers outside school.

Well, we have to protect the stupid idiots that hold large fireworks in their hand after lighting them or stand right next to them ya know.
