That last one is too true!
(for those not aware - a horse not passing manure is a symptom of colic, a potentially very serious condition where the horse’s digestive system gets blocked. A horse pooping as soon as the vet shows up shows that he’s feeling better, in addition to not wanting the hand up the rear end!!)

The first one reminds me of a game of scrabble i had with my brother and Grannie one time as a kid. My brother had a horrible hand and couldn't find a word....
To add context, we grew up in a part of the UK that didn't "say" the letter "h". It was usually absent.
We ended up with "ejog". Needless to say it wasn't used.
If you divide the sounds into "e" and "jog" you'll find the word.
