I am just hoping that the chickens were not still alive when they did that...

Lots of chicken processing facilities around here and they're killed pretty quick, and firstly, when they're unloaded from the truck.

Having chooks, I have seen enough bumblefoot to see it immediately. Always on the soft pad on the underneath. It's what takes the pounding when they jump off a perch onto the ground, and in time infecting sets in. It forms like a calus, or wart even that gets infected over time.

Now to delete the gross photo off my phone.
Don't mind when they're attached, dead or alive, but not as food.
