What produce/ingredients did you buy or obtain today (2025)?

Never been to Italy so no clue! I know there are fine, medium, and coarse grinds but haven't been able to find a grit size chart to look it up. Soon enough I'll be going to the place where they grow/harvest/grind this and I can get more info. I know when I see grits and polenta displayed in the grocery stores they're playing on ignorance. The package is different but the grinds aren't.

Reminds me of that song by YES, Yours Is No Disgrace where the lyrics are "silly human race".

Edit: the Netherlands make the most exquisite polenta. Maybe. Probably not. But they might if they know you’re coming 😂

Why can't you?

I often buy fertile eggs through the postal system. Each egg needs to be wrapped individually and then put back in the egg box before the egg box is wrapped extensively. But if it can survive the Australian postal system, I'm sure it could survive the American system.
