Vegan Nutella i can't get in Australia, and didn't get as far as opening in the UK.

Braised tofu i love and can't get in Australia. My sister bought me some and have it to us on our last day.

We can get golden syrup in Australia, but it's brown and tastes different and the pikelets are not the same. We used to be able to buy Lyle's golden syrup when we first arrived but sadly we can't any more.

The same for our vegan stock powder. We've found that once it is opened, if we transfer it to a kilner jar, it stays fresh much longer. We can get it, but only through iHerb and it's pricey. We've not yet found an alternative.

The coffee is the obtaining instant coffee we like, so my mum stocked us up!

Finally the tea is a slightly long story of hubby trying to find a herbal tea in the UK that he liked, then forgetting to take it with him multiple times and having to but it again... no one else wanted it, so given how light it is, it came with us!

Shopping today
Fresh onions with leek & tomatoes on the side of the road
No plai yoghurt in the supermarket, so I opted for the (reduced price) lemon merenque
Then oranges & apples
Chicken feet for the boys, mixed cut pork for me
Rice for the boys
Red wine and gin
Dorito's hopefully for making nachos, but they may not survive that long
Loaf of bread (still warm)
Cucumbers
Dog food (kibble)
Sugar
Salt
2 baby jars of red curry paste (expensive and not a very good brand but haven't been able to find anything for a long time)
Soy sauce and
Cooking oil & mielie meal for my staff.

And that was most of my money gone, but I should be fine for some time again, except I forgot to buy tea :banghead:

I was in a rush to today so I phoned an order through with my nearest butcher for 12 nice shoulder chops for Sunday family dinner.. chop casserole.
I picked them.up and was shocked to see it at $32.99 kg.. $76 f ..ing dollars.
I normally pay if buying a whole lamb $13 kg.
Won't be going back!!
