What produce/ingredients did you buy or obtain today (2025)?

You can set your clock to Mom going to either Kroger or Publix in the afternoon, everyday.

Even I could afford it, it's a drive, that would just indicate too much lack of planning for me. The day of the week might change but I go once a week unless it's an item at DG, Dollar General, since that's only a couple of miles away.

Does your mom still drive?

I generally do a weekly shop for general supermarket items. Picked this up in Aldi today, I rarely buy this kind of stuff but it's winter it's been raining for a week and my resistance is low....
It's pretty delish (I had it on buttered toast)

We’ve had that. It’s good.

Yes. She's not allowed on the riding lawn mower and the FAA rescinded her pilot license 2 years ago. 😅
Get her a drone to play with.

My mom drove right up until a few weeks before she passed at 88! I didn't like getting in the car with her behind the wheel, though. She had the reaction time of a sloth. But, she didn't have any car accidents as far back as I can remember, though that might have been good reflexes on the part of other drivers!

So do we need to Speculoos as to what's in it?

Another cukezilla... Next year I'm going to grow these so I can see them.

It's been raining on and off for several days and cloudy so some of the tomatoes are splitting. That's okay since this year I can't even guess at how many more I'm getting than last year.

The chili's, so far, seem to do well every year. Shishito on the left and cayenne on the right.
