Right, the newer one, because SK is on record as trashing the original and liking the remake.
Stephen King's books have always been far better than the movie remakes on the whole.
The movies not being any good are usually two fold in problems, B list actors coupled with an appearance by SK. Or a direct hand in the script.
The ones that used A list actors, The Shining, Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me, Silver Bullet, have all been pretty good. Even if they took liberties with his books.

I like horror/suspense/thiller/true crime in general all year.
I love watching those crime story/cold case solved videos on YT.
Now the problem is weeding out the AI, which often will simply make up a story and present it as real.
But you can't go wrong with something by A&E, 48 hours and a few others.
But movies I tend to prefer horror or terror flicks, too.

Watching a Hallmark Halloween movie right now with the Queen of Hallmark, everybody’s favorite Girl Next Door Who Turns Into a Vixen Behind Closed Doors (ok, that second title is one I gave her)…Lacy Chabert.
Now we’re watching The Centerville Ghost series, with that reporter dude from Ted Lasso (and his atrocious US Southern-Western-cowboy accent needs separate billing- it’s bigger than his lion’s mane of hair!), and the always charming Louisa from Doc Martin.

Considering your taste in movies, if you don’t have Tubi, you should get it. It’s free (so some ads), and they have so much of that ‘60’s-‘80’s horror/thriller/suspense stuff, plus a lot of sci-fi. It’s where we’re watching Space: 1999 and Babylon 5 right now.
Their collection of Italian gialli films is fantastic, too. That was the main reason I first began streaming stuff there.
