Looking good!
It was very good. I drink a lot of German beers in the summer…lacy heads on those, which is fine, but when the weather turns, I want those thick creamy heads, heads you can rest a coin on, and no one does those better than the British (Isles) brewers, IMO.

Love it, but not all Begiums are fruity
They are just a total different beer where the flavour/taste comes from the yeast and not (solely) from the hops.
A favourite of mine.
It’s pretty easy to find in the bottle here, but not so easy to find it on tap, so it was a nice treat.

This was quite the combination!
A Skinny Pomegranate Cosmo served along side very savory Olive Tapenade with Club Crackers.
Ya always need a bar snack to go with your adult beverage, I say anyways ... this hit all the right notes, sweet, sour, salty and umami.

It really was good. You know, most days, you pull up to the bar, look at the tap, and say, “I’d like that one, please,” and when it arrives, you have a nice sip and say, “Ahhhh…,” and go on with figuring out what you’re having to eat or what your next stop will be.
Well, taking that first drink of Ol’ Specky…completely different experience. It was like everything around me just stopped, frozen, the room was suddenly dead silent, and all I could focus on was the beer - “All of your attention here, man! On me! That’s right, nothing else exists right now except you and me. Now drink!”
Pity I had to drive and was on a schedule. I could have easily had a few more.

We just went out for a walk in the snow, then cleaned off the car and shovelled the driveway. So husband made us hot chocolate with frothed milk (he got this stovetop milk frother and is really into lattes lately).
Coffee from Starbucks (not very good).
