No - I am thinking that this is not the kind of (insert name of object) that most of you would use. It doesn't look much like the traditional kind. I use it because its easy and safe (clue therein).

The other side is straight, and there are three screws holding in something else on the end.

Yes. The handle is gripped so the straight side faces downwards. I am sure that doesn't help either...

I'm sure (certain) you use one - it just doesn't look like this one. Any cook/chef will have one - but as I say, not this one!
