When is a coffee not just a coffee?

I had no idea that there was such a thing as chicory flour, though. Have you ever tasted that?
More floury than it looks...

Yes. I forget the recipe but every order comes with the flyer on ways to use it.

Premium Roasted Chicory & Chicory Flour from Chicory USA
It's okay, I didn't plan on making them, I was just curious because that would make a really dark-colored cookie and wasn't sure if the flour is dense. I like it in my coffee and will probably just stick to getting my chicory fix in that way, but I was curious. Thanks!

And there's the cheap store bought filtered coffee which I occasionally have in the afternoon . When we meet up with friends we go to a coffee and cake/scones joints. Next time I'm asking for a double espresso and see what look/reaction I get

Love ground chicory coffee. The instant version is a bit grim though. I don’t really think of it as coffee though, just an alternative hot drink.
This morning I had a frappe from the Slushi maker and it was just the tonic I needed after last nights fun.
Some espresso shots, oat milk, sugar and a pinch of salt. Yum.

I don't do instant coffee of any variety, although I hear it has come a long way since the 1970s. How much was that slushie machine again? I am wondering if that wouldn't make a nice gift for a couple my daughters and their husbands.

A bit pricey for what it is but as the reviewers say “Just buy it” and from the three different uses we’ve had out of it since last night I can see it will be in use every week! £349.00

I thought of you as Mr SSOAP said I’m going to stop off on my way home from the rugby and pick up some strawberry daiquiri ingredients 🥰

Tell 'im great minds and such.

For a present for a couple at Christmas that's not terribly pricey as we generally only buy them 1 gift sine they are all well into adulthood with good jobs. They have the money to buy anything they want but I like to try to find them things they didn't know they needed!

Direct me to a photo of the beast, please? I need to guesstimate how much counter space it will take up.

I’ve never tried it, but my ice cream maker claims it can also be used to make slushies. Could be worth a try if you’ve got one and don’t want to go out and buy a separate appliance!

You can but only certain liquids will work in an ice cream maker and some want you to freeze the liquid in the makers container overnight first.

Thats how I ended up with the ninja slushi, because you can just pour the liquid straight in and walk away and you can just top it up as you go.

I didn't fancy trying to freeze 8 pints of cider separately, and then when you've had your two that's it no more. The slushi has a large capacity which makes it more practical party/bbq time.

I topped it up about 9 times on friday! 🥴 😂
I foresee a very tipsy summer ahead.
