Worcestershire Sauce

And if production is moved abroad?
Nothing to be done about it - it is a global economy. There are many things made in the UK [for example] that are sold overseas. There is a large Nissan car plant quite near me in Sunderland - Rolls Royce is owned by BMW I believe but they are still manufactured in Britain. Thousands of companies are owned by other companies, even farms are often owned by larger producers. The days of 'one man and his shed / horse / farm are long gone.

Fair enough - but the point still stands {however I believe BMW hold the rights to the Rolls Royce name - volkswagon being left with Bentley, which goes to show just how complicated the whole situation of global 'who owns who' can be.}
One relevant point is still this, the product, be it Worcester sauce or a Rolls Royce car stands on it's quality and if the recipe changes it either sells better or fails whoever owns what.

Apparently there are two sauces, one for the UK and one for the US.
According to Wikipedia, they also make a vegan version.
