Worst item to clean in the kitchen

No mirror shines round here. Stovetop is worst.

For general use I mix up a dilute vinegar dish detergent solution as we have very soft water here and cleaning can take a lot of rinsing I keep a spray bottle of it to hand instead of washing pits and dishes with loads of soap suds or heavy industrial type cleaners also keeping in mind that the sewage and water treatment system is very local.

Ditto household ammonia in a spray bottle for effective localised grease zapper.

Very soft water here as well.
I generally just use water, sometimes dishwasher & water, sometimes just pure dishwasher to soak on dodgy parts.
But mostly it's dust, so wet cloth.
And dry cloth or broom for spider webs.

The exhaust hood over the cooktop! I forgot all about that!
When we sold the house in Kaneohe Hawaii USA, I took on a year long project of getting the place ready, for two households.
We built a separate home one my parents property ...
My Mother's kitchen was the worst of everything that I had to do.
The top of the hood was so thick with cooking oils/grease, I had to use a putty knife to scrape off as much as I could, take a Brillo Pad to it, washed it down really well and then painted it.
PHEW!
That took acoupla days...

The oven & the Fridge. As kids, these two jobs were the worst ones to be given to us!! We had to clean the oven with Easy-Off. It was still hard to clean!! Even when we let it sit for a while after applying the cleaner. The fridge was manual defrost. Water was everywhere!!! We did not have a stove with a self-cleaning oven, nor was the fridge frost-free. In my opinion, they were the two hardest jobs to do!!! Today, the oven is still manual-clean, but I cover most things to prohibit the splashing of grease in the oven. The fridge is now frost-free. Even though it still must be cleaned once in a while, there is no flood to have to deal with!!!!
