Your other hobbies (2026)

The large brown row, not the edge, is a chain stitch with either a very large diameter yarn or multiple strands. It may be sewn on, rather than an actual part of the hat structure. So, going to guess crochet, though it may be machine made. Picture gets too blurry on enlarging.

I have a question for those of you who knit/crochet :

What is this hat called?
I just love it! The shape of it that is...

It definitely looks like crochet to me. These hats suit some people very well and can look chic. They look ghastly on me! I look like a dowdy old woman in that style...

Herbaceous you'll love it! I'm excited for you!
I haven't played the ukulele in years, or any other musical instrument for that matter.
Today, I know for a fact that I wouldn't be able to read sheet music to save my soul...

My sister's cardigan is taking shape.

The right hand one is my husband's version which I'm using as a guide size wise (from memory and by me trying it on). Once it is washed the first time and blocked, it will stretch as well.

As my user name implies, hiking is one of my favorite activities. I'm fortunate to live near a 77 sq-mile roadless wilderness area in my state, with nearly all of it being State Game Lands acquired solely through hunter's license fees. I consider it my weekend playground. Today, I drove into those mountains to snowshoe a mile back to my "man cave", where I like to soak up nature and make lunch over an open fire. The weather was so nice, though, that instead of cooking in the "man cave", I cooked lunch on the ridgetop at a natural outdoor kitchen. The weather was perfect! What a wonderful day! 👍

It was physically demanding, where you feel so alive, and the weather was perfect! What a wonderful day! 👍

That looks amazing (and very different from my stomping grounds)

These are a belated Christmas gift from my bro and SIL (apparently the shipping took a while). I now have proper sock blockers!

When my brother would bring his girlfriend round and I’d sit between them on the couch, that’s what he’d call me… a little sock blocker.

I never did understand that… :whistling:
