Some pics from the holidays. This is Luso hotel, a little village with a really good mineral water spring, one of the best in Portugal. Luso is sold as bottled water but where you can drink straight from the fountain for free.

We were staying near Tentúgal, home to the traditional pastry pastel de Tentúgal, made with phyllo dough filled with egg cream. Here are the workers cutting the phyllo dough

On a different day, we went to Comporta, a beautiful beach in Alentejo. A nice surprise was that some dolphins, residents in the nearby Sado estuary, were feeding near the beach that day and we could see them in the distance

Close by there's this place called Cais Palafitico da Carrasqueira, a small fishing port entirely made of wood. Looks dangerous, but fishermen still use it. In this place the tide is usually very low and weak.

And now a dolphin sighseeing tour  This family of 28 dolphins lives in the Sado estuary and they are one of three resident dolphin families in Europe, the other two are in Ireland and Scotland. Unlike most dolphins, these ones don't migrate, they live in this area during the entire year.
