Your favourite lettuce or other salad leaves

It keeps incredibly well.

My last lot of green oak/red oak grass kept longer than I have previously known it to. This had been at the bottom of the fridge for 6 days.

This following brings a whole new meaning to the title of his thread. Do you remember that growing lettuce I bought?

Well, two weeks later and its still going strong and developing new leaves. So I've got quite fond of it. And the thing is, that I now don't want to pick the leaves. Its a bit like having a chicken you raise for food. Its really got quite an endearing personality, so you give it a pet name. Then and then can't bear to sacrifice it. That's a bit how I feel, except that I haven't given it a name... yet.
