Dill weed is the fresh or dried feathery leaves of a plant in the celery family
Dill (Anethum graveolens) is an annual herb in the celery family Apiaceae. It is the only species in the genus Anethum. Dill is grown widely in Eurasia, where its leaves as dill weed (herb) and seeds (spice) are used as a flavouring for food.
Dill weed belongs to the same family of herbs as cumin, caraway, coriander/cilantro, fernleaf dill, anise, and fennel.
