classic German apple cake - actually easy to make. done in a spring pan with apricot glaze.
beat together:
75 g softened butter
75 g granulated sugar
teaspoon vanilla sugar
pinch of salt
2 eggs

peel apples to yield 500g
prep 150g AP flour with 1 teaspoon backing power
stir in flour mix until smooth
blend in 2 tablespoons / 50ml milk
butter/grease 9"/23cm springform pan
spread batter out on bottom
layer apples
warm about 2 tablespoons of apricot preserves, dilute a bit with water and glaze top
bake 45-50 minutes at 180'C/350'F

Very nice indeed - we definitely need more cake recipes here. Good photo too.

prep 150g AP flour with 1 teaspoon backing power

blend in 2 tablespoons / 50ml milk

Go a bit confused by the recipe steps... shouldn't there be a step where the flour is mixed into the egg/butter mix?

that's the step. of stir in flour

btw, obvious typo - that's baking powder, not backing powder

more? here's an uncomplicated but really good peachy one -
I only do this with fresh in-season-taste-proven-ripe peaches.
