This is a standalone liquor store, so much bigger than the Kroger one.

With respect to the refrigerator cases of beer…any place here of any size will have a dedicated Beer Cave. Some of these will be bigger than my living room…the biggest one I’ve been in (Party Source) is as big as my house - cold room for beer.

This one was pretty average…a little smaller than my kitchen (though not by much).

Six or seven aisles of spirits

Same for wine, and a separate high-end wine section.

Drink up!

Did you know (according to many of the very old codgers of this country) that Americans are the only reason Brits were introduced to cold beer?

We had been drinking warm beer and cider since time immemorial and refrigeration was something America took on fast and furious, so the idea it could be served cold was a wild and ridiculous idea.

Then it was tasted and warm beer was a thing of the past 😆

My local pub as a youngster (late 60s, early 70s) was a 14th century place called the Old Plantation. The landlord's name was Bill, and he was probably about 80 years old when I first started going there.
His version of "refrigeration" in the summer months was to put two wet hop sacks on top of the barrels.
Ahhh well.
Then, when the poor old sod developed Parkinson's, we'd have to send the pint back to fill it up...
