Cheese for cheesesteak sandwiches

I know that stuff, but I don't think that's what I was referring to. Isn't there like a cheddar color sauce that often goes on cheesesteaks? I'm not talking about aerosol cheese in a can that has a 4,800-year shelf-life.
Yep, the spray cheese (Easy Cheese, or probably EZ Cheez, if I know my marketing departments) and Cheez Whiz are two very different products, but I think it’s pretty common for folks to use “cheese whiz” as a generic umbrella term.

Yep.
One is more for making things with (the jar). And the canned spray cheese more for squirting a little onto a cracker for a snack. Or squirting a little into your dog's Kong toy ;)

I've never had a cheesesteak with the whiz. But since Philly is known for both, I'll probably try it one of these days.
Arby's used to have, or maybe still do, a beef sandwich with some kind of melted cheese on it, on an onion roll, and I remember it being pretty good for fast food.

That is the classic Beef-n-Cheddar:

And yes, it’s pretty good.

That spray stuff is for quick snack with crackers on the road or in a hotel room.

Exactly. It's pretty handy.
I'd bet it comes in different flavors now, too. But I haven't seen any since I was a kid.
