We don't do Christmas here. When in Rome. We're in Rome and doing a small Solstice dinner today. Smoked turkey charcut platter of sorts with an adapted remajon type orange salad

The traditional solstice meal is a specific type of rabbit stew, but that's another story altogether!

Christmas Eve supper-snacks set:

Bacon-wrapped almond-stuffed prunes
Cheese straws
Cheese ball & crackers
Swedish meatballs

Whole roasted garlic, rosemary and lemon chicken

Served with Gratin Dauphinois, mushroom gravy, cranberry sauce and carrots/ Brussels sprouts

Dessert was Eton mess with raspberry sauce, vanilla custard and meringue
