I have. And I do prefer them. But its a bit if a faff really so not something I've done often. There is a microwave method but I think I tried that once and wasn't convinced.

I do occassionally make crisps. Mostly when I got oil at the ready (like I got now as I've been making/frying krupuk)

Me too! I was thinking potato chips when I bought them and not doritos... They'll work well for nachos.

Ever tried making crisps with potato skins> They fry up really nicely . I occasionally do them if I remember to save the skins. Quick snack and very frugal.
