I was diagnosed last year with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), a depression brought on by excessive stress, undue strain on the body, thoughts of suicide
and uncontrollable crying most of the time.
It was caused by my ex-landlord, who became a bullying cowardly monster because he was selling the building and wanted myself and another tenant out! He was trying to evict us without taking us to court first. Things had gotten so bad that I hired a lawyer to defend me. This individual was using threats, intimidation, retaliation, terrorization, violence and other cowardly acts against me to try to scare me into leaving the apartment!
Even to thee point where he shut of the power several times at night and during the day. He even physically attacked me during an altercation, and then lied to the police! All of this torture has caused me to become depressed, sad and be an emotional wreck!! As a result, I am taking fluoxetine - a generic form of Prozac.
I'm slowly recovering from all of that, but it will take some time to fully recover from it.![]()
I'm sorry @Shermie. I noticed you hadn't been about for a bit. But its good you are back here and posting. We are all friendly here. No bullying allowed! Not that we would ever do that. Keep on cooking, posting and getting better. How is that budding chef nephew of yours?
Thanks, everyone!
It IS a struggle trying to get pass that. I was a loyal tenant of his for 13 years! In all that time, he never acted the way that he did until he found out that he was getting a lot of green for that building!
He was a broke person who was always down on his luck, struggling to make ends meet, but we all got along very well. Then last year when money came into the picture, this SOB really became a first-class jerk!! Long story short, if I saw him laying on the sidewalk in dire need of emergency medical help, I'll step right over him and keep on walking!!![]()

That is interesting. I had no idea about the tea. I had assumed, I guess like others, that it would be rather like liquorice.Liquorice Root is meant to be great for it, but you're not allowed to consume it in large amounts or for over two weeks at a time.
Liquorice Root is used as a sweetener in foods as a substitute for sugar on occasion. The amount of times I've got people to try liquorice root tea and they've asked "how much sugar is in this?!" for me to reply "absolutely none". It's not for some, but personally I like it and found that it helped a bit with depression, but not for a long term solution.
