I love those. Been awhile.I won’t tell you what we used to call Long Island Iced Teas when I was single in the military…
No, Walmart. They stock Great Value, Luzianne, and Lipton. The only thing I can tell different between them is the price and packaging with Great Value having the cheapest price and the cheapest packaging.Luzianne?
Lipton doesn't brew dark enough for sweet tea to suit me. Up here in NE Ohio the iced tea served in most restaurants is a pale tan color and you can see through it. Sweet tea is more available here than it used to be but not the right color. When I first moved up here if I asked for sweet tea they pointed at the packets in the caddy on the table. I'm glad mine brews dark that way I tell which one isn't the green tea!Lipton doesn't brew dark enough for sweet tea to suit me. I don't use Lipton, and I have no issues with using Great Value. Luzianne is a standard in the south so wasn't sure if that's what you were using. My grandmother and other relatives probably wouldn't have used anything else. I'm not even sure if stores up here carry it, probably, but I don't make much sweet tea anymore because DH doesn't drink tea. I love drinking it with some good southern fried chicken, though, so when I go south I always make a point to find a mom-and-pop diner that has good fried chicken.I'm glad mine brews dark that way I tell which one isn't the green tea!
I think we need to know..I won’t tell you what we used to call Long Island Iced Teas when I was single in the military…
My DH suggested "panty droppers", but who knows.I think we need to know..
Knicker dropper was my first thought too!My DH suggested "panty droppers", but who knows.

Does my head in, this. Following sister around with her coffee. She. Keeps.putting.it.down! Never takes a sip. And then complains she’s had no coffee! Other people make her coffee to same effect so it’s not bad coffee.I've found that I literally never - NEVER - finish my cup of coffee in the morning before it gets cold. I always find myself putting the coffee down to do other things. When I'm at work, it's not worth the ~5 minute walk to get to the microwave to reheat it. Even during work days at home, I usually don't bother. I've taken to saving the cold coffee and using it for a mixed drink later in the day.
I've never been someone to just sit and enjoy my coffee - with or without food - without also doing something else. Even stopping to read (which, yes, I sometimes do) means I'm putting down the coffee.
Or, maybe my 12 ounces of coffee is too much? Having an espresso would solve that problem.![]()
That's odd. I use lipton cold brew and it comes out a quite dark brown. Of course, I let it sit with teabags for hours, don't use ice because I keep it in refrigerator, but I do use simple syrup to sweeten, plus the big dollop of white grape juice and some lemon juice.Lipton doesn't brew dark enough for sweet tea to suit me.
