Eggnog Espresso Martini
Makes 1 drink

Ingredients
1 ounce dark spiced rum (or bourbon or vodka)
1 ounce Kahlua
1 ounce espresso or cold brew
3–4 ounces eggnog, depending your glass
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Dash of cinnamon, nutmeg, or mace

Directions
This is a simple one - dump everything into a cocktail shaker filled about halfway with ice. Shake until it’s thoroughly mixed (about 25 rolling shakes). Strain into a martini glass or coupe. Garnish with a further sprinkle of spice and a coffee bean or three. Enjoy!

It's a Dutch egg based liqueur. Very dessert-y. Not very au fait with with egg nog at all tho it's very much an Anerican Xmas 'thing' - non alcoholic?
It’s sold in the shops in both nonalcoholic and alcoholic versions. I’d wager most people who buy the nonalcoholic version add their own alcohol when they serve it. There are loads and loads of eggnog-based cocktails.

That's sort of what I thought - a mixer

edited to add:
there is a difference
eggnog is made with cream and spices,
advocaat just egg yolks and brandy

I wouldn’t call it a mixer, though. That implies it’s something you wouldn’t necessarily drink on its own (yes, I know there are some things that do double duty), and this very much is something you could drink on its own.

We fatten our kids up on it from an early age, we make big punch bowls of it, the grocery stores are full of it right now, it’s very much a holiday tradition.

Usually, most people just add a shot of whatever, sort of like you’d do with coffee. Bourbon is probably the most popular, followed closely by rum, but just about anything works. We’ll use Frangelico, amaretto, peppermint schnapps, cinnamon schnapps, etc…or we’ll make a regular cocktail with it, like above.

Hah! Right up there with SandwichShortOfAPicnic
You see a pic and remember how good they taste so off you go!

Stronger, nuttier, more brussel sprouty flavoured and difficult to leave alone!

Over a kilo of sprouts between just three of us on my last sprout outing and not a single sprout left 😋
🤣
