Favourite dish beginning with..

So many options for "P" :)
Prawn curry
Phat prik khing (really one of my favourites, planning to make it tonight)
Piri piri chicken (that could well be on the menu for tomorrow)
Pad Thai (soon after)

And as already mentioned above
Pizza
Pissalidiere

That's a good one. I've only made this a couple of times and both times from the same recipe, plus I've never eaten it in a restaurant so I don't know how it's really supposed to taste, but this one was amazing:

Looks pretty good!
My recipe is very flexible, but mostly contains the ingredients in the recipe you linked to.
I don't use bell pepper though, but I can see it working to bulk up the marinade

Pears, peaches, plums, pork chops, porcupines, parmesan cheese, fruit, veg, strawberries
Earlier in the thread, karadekoolaid ok’d including single items that can be considered ingredients if they’re also eaten on their own (the item in question was anchovies), unless I misunderstood.

I don’t know about you, but pears, peaches, plums, etc are routinely eaten on their own in my house. It’s actually the preferred way for most fresh fruit.

Me too soon!

Such a great dish. Nice recipe. Portuguese meets hot chili peppers. My version doesn't cook anything in the marinade - its the hot sour pungent aromatic oily combo: lemon, chili, garlic, herbs, s&p, evoo plus a bit of something like tabasco or harissa or hot sauce whatever is to hand.

Me neither, but this old link to a sauce I've tried uses red peppers probably to cut the heat a bit and thickens, tho dried/soaked/pureed milder chili types are really good

Gotcha. Missed that so my mistake! I'd add anchovies to the list - smeared neat on fresh crusty bread like baguette but that makes it a sandwich!

Absolutely!

NO ingredients please! Stick to dishes!

I'm all confused now! Can single food items which can be consumed on their own, such as plums, anchovies, sardines, artichokes (globe), eggs, caviar, etc be included?

Please clarify karadekoolaid?
