The UK has some great "P"s:
- Pork Scratchings: pub snack made from deep-fried pig skin (rind), seasoned with salt.
I do love some Mr Porky's!
- Pig in Blankets: delicious little bites
Sausage Rolls! (Isn't Pigs In Blankets what Americans call them?

What ingredients are you referring to?I take it we're also talking ingredients on this thread now![]()
Piri piri chicken (that could well be on the menu for tomorrow)
NO ingredients please! Stick to dishes!I take it we're also talking ingredients on this thread now![]()
I’m not sure what ingredients Z-Cook is referencing; hence, my question.NO ingredients please! Stick to dishes!
Looks pretty good! That's a good one. I've only made this a couple of times and both times from the same recipe, plus I've never eaten it in a restaurant so I don't know how it's really supposed to taste, but this one was amazing:

Stuff n bits - components and ingredients that aren't actual dishesWhat ingredients are you referring to?
Earlier in the thread, karadekoolaid ok’d including single items that can be considered ingredients if they’re also eaten on their own (the item in question was anchovies), unless I misunderstood.Pears, peaches, plums, pork chops, porcupines, parmesan cheese, fruit, veg, strawberries
Me too soon!Piri piri chicken (that could well be on the menu for tomorrow)
Such a great dish. Nice recipe. Portuguese meets hot chili peppers. My version doesn't cook anything in the marinade - its the hot sour pungent aromatic oily combo: lemon, chili, garlic, herbs, s&p, evoo plus a bit of something like tabasco or harissa or hot sauce whatever is to hand. That's a good one. Me neither, but this old link to a sauce I've tried uses red peppers probably to cut the heat a bit and thickens, tho dried/soaked/pureed milder chili types are really goodI don't use bell pepper though, but I can see it working to bulk up the marinade
Gotcha. Missed that so my mistake! I'd add anchovies to the list - smeared neat on fresh crusty bread like baguette but that makes it a sandwich!Earlier in the thread, @karadekoolaid ok’d including single items that can be considered ingredients if they’re also eaten on their own (the item in question was anchovies), unless I misunderstood.
Absolutely!I don’t know about you, but pears, peaches, plums, etc are routinely eaten on their own in my house. It’s actually the preferred way for most fresh fruit.
