Food Prices

I heard something recently that Trump is going to be importing beef from Argentina. So that might bring down prices. I have no idea the quality of Argentinian beef, but I don't think there would be any problems with it. How do you even do that? Do you just literally send a bunch of cargo ships with thousands of cattle on them to different parts of the U.S.?

Argentina does very good beef!

Doubtful. I imagine the extraneous weight would be removed to reduce shipping costs.

I know a lot of people will not agree with me on this, but I do think chicken and egg prices place very little value on the lives of the chickens themselves and I personnally have no issues with the prices going up, if the conditions for animals/birds etc improves. It has always been the factory farming and how little value humans place on the lives of what they eat, that has been the reason for me being vegetarian since I was 11.

That would be wonderful if higher prices meant the chickens were treated better, but I seriously doubt that's where the additional money will go.

They'll process in Argentina. Like medtran49 said they'll only be shipping the "sellable parts", the quarters.

Argentinian beef is exceedingly good, so you won't have a problem with the quality.

Grocery prices have sky rocketed where I am - upstate New York. Being in the bush we don't get a great choice of where to shop unless I want to drive an hour or more. Our local food store is Wegmans. When I first moved here I could shop for 4 of us my wife, 2 teenage boys and myself for a couple of hundred dollars a week for basic things - nothing flash. Now I hardly get a paper bag of groceries for $100, it's rediculous and all about greed in my opinion.

Oh and someone mentioned insurance - my car insurance has gone up $300 a year for the past 3 years. Not bad for someone who has never placed a claim, only has one speeding ticket rfom 20 years ago and some very VERY high standared specialized driving courses behind me.

Agree that its greedy. I've no care for the peeps reaping those rewards for our hardship. Come to me for help when the TSHTF, please! 🤨
