Freshwater Prawns Sarnies
Ingredients
- 6 Freshwater prawns
- Butter
- 2 Garlic cloves, sliced
- 2 Hamburger buns
- 4 or 5 lettuce leaves
- 2 tblsp Mayonnaise
- ½ tsp Tomato puree
- Black pepper
- 4 or 5 dashes of Tabaso red sauce
- 2 pinches of Paprika
Heat the butter in a non-stick pan and fry the garlic for a few minutes. Fry the prawns for about 90 seconds each side until pink. Allow to cool.
Halve the bread buns and spread a little butter on one side. Place the lettuce leaves on the buttered base and then the prawns.
Mix the mayonnaise with the tomato puree and add a little black pepper and Tabasco sauce to taste.
Add the mayonnaise sauce to the prawns and sprinkle over a little paprika.
Place the bread lid and serve cool.
