As Ms. Berry and Mr.Kane would say:
Mary Christmas and a Harry New Year!
Hope everyone has a really great time and enjoys themselves with family and friends.

We will have heavy rain throughout the holidays here. The power went out three times last night. It kept me up all night, because I can't sleep without my CPAP running. FedEx has a package of mine delayed, because of weather. I hope the problems are resolved so that everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in central California.

This is odd, Christmas day is Saturday, the 25th (tomorrow) in the USA, but they list the 24th as Christmas day in lieu. ???

What the heck does 'in lieu' imply. When do folks unwrap their gifts and eat Christmas dinner?

In the UK Christmas day is tomorrow, the 25th (Saturday). Who are 'they'?
