How is the corona virus affecting you?

My DH & I both tested positive, yet again.
This variant wasn't so bad though.
Our PCP prescribed that new Pfizer drug, and then we had to self isolate for 5 days and then 5 more days in public with masks ... we just stayed home.
For me anyways, it was like having a cold.

This new one isn't as harsh, and if you have had the previous vaccines, it should not be a big deal for you. But, thanks for not spreading it by isolating and wearing a mask. That's a very responsible thing to do. :okay:

so the uptake must be high. That's good.
MrsT tried to get it before going to Florida. She was talking with the pharmacist, and the pharmacist told her that as soon as they released the first round of appointments, they were all booked within a couple of hours.

They got some more doses in, so now she’s scheduled for Saturday, right after she gets back home.

So what's all this stuff I'm reading about heart lung problems with people who had the shots?? Quite high compared to other diseases?? I had 2 jabs and not having any more. Doc made me go hospital last time and overnight. Tests said I had covid but absolutely no symptoms.
I DO KNOW IM DIFFERENT.

I DO KNOW IM DIFFERENT.
You hit the nail on the head, mate. we're ALL different.
Just heard this afternoon that my BIL had Covid in July. There's a bloke who lives the healthiest life I can imagine. Doesn't drink, never smoked, played squash till he was 60, always active, controlled diet, etc.
The Covid affected his internal organs and glands. For the last month or so, he's exhausted all the time. Goes in to work then comes home at lunchtime and straight to bed. Too whacked to do anything. Wierd, but true.

You and rascal would make Great! MAGA members. Rant's about socialism, vaccines and global warming (at least rascal). Of course if YOU moved here, you couldn't complain about Venezuelans "invading" our Southern border, because you'd be one of them.

Not a hope in Hell, my friend. The orange-haired thing is a monster, and if it did get re-elected, I'd recommend you move to Caracas!
I rant about "socialism", because that's what they call it here. It's not.
Immigration, legal or illegal, is part of 21st century life. Get used to it.
And I had my covid jabs because I went down with Dengue fever twice and have no intention of going through that s*** again!
:D :D

Everyone has different effects.

I'd like to see the evidence for this in terms of hard statistics. There is a plethora of fake news out there about the vaccine and about Covid itself.

Any time I hear anything "anti-vax," I immediately do some fact checking. It may be true, but there is so much "fake news" out there about vaccines that I never assume what someone says (or posts in a food forum) is true.

For the US folks on here, the government is providing four more free at-home covid tests per household. Just google “free covid tests” and it should take you right to the site.

You can also check to see if the expiration date of any covid tests you may already have has been extended.

We've just had our next booster shots and flu shots in time for flying to the UK.
Both sets of parents are in the 75-84 yrs old range, so covering them as much as us is important to me/us. My in-laws are older but in much better health than my parents. And the least said about my health the better really.
