How is the corona virus affecting you?

Here in Thailand, I have to stop eating some tasty food like spicy papaya salad (Som-Tam) because conceen about that virus because that dish not cook by heat, so now I feel like coffee lover who can't drink coffee because some reason. How bad that even i try to cook at home it never yummy like when i get from stall.

Som-tam is the first dish I go for when I visit Thailand, the greatest salad in the World... I feel your pain.

Yes, we should have been open for business weeks ago, it's no worse than the flu, yet our socialist government wanted us locked down. Reataurants and bars are a free for all now. I'm going for a drink later as well. Somewhere quiet.

Well, I am glad you are going for a drink. However, my nephew and two of my friends in Florida all had it and recovered (for the most part). They all said it was WAY worse than the flu. My one friend got it in April and he is still not back to normal.

Yeah I know it's worse than the flu, I meant in terms of casualties. More with the flu than the virus.
USA figures are terrible, I'm watching CNN now.

I was working on a report today. They are now using rheumatoid arthritis drugs on COVID patients. I would imagine it's for the anti-inflammatory effects since COVID affects so many organ systems.
 
Yeah, in the US it killed a lot more people, probably because our country has so many people in poor health (mostly due to lack of good nutrition and lack of exercise).

Not everyone who eats like crap and doesn't exercise is overweight, but there are plenty of people who live in the US who need to lose a few pounds.

And due to hypertension and diabetes or other health problems, they are sheltering in place.

USA isn't the worst country though, most modern countries have dietary problems. Kiwis and ozzys have problems as well.

Give your head a shake Russ. It is worse than flu for most of us. Thanks to your 'useless' socialist government you are now Covid free and you've only had twenty or so deaths in your entire country. That's less than in most of our care homes. Some of us live in countries governed by conservative regimes, who started off denying the existence of the problem, repeatedly refused to tackle it, then suppressed statistics about how bad things were. We've lost 60,000+ so far, and still counting. It's even worse in the US and Brazil. If you like, I'll try and get FedEx to ship Boris over to you, and perhaps you can send us that Mrs Ahern in return. We really could do with her level of incompetence right now.
