It really got to me today. I spent most of the day in bed. I feel fine, physically, but just wasn't motivated to do anything. Calling on my customers is getting hard to do, since I know they don't have any work for me. And I can't drink!!!

She was told to shut in February, ignored advice, then jumped on the band wagon. If you google her you will find she is tied up with the socialist and was president of them.
I know it's worse for you guys, I watch CNN and fox, when borders were closed planes were still landing, people told to isolate, some didn't.
Our tourist industry is $&@&$& just one town omarama lost 30 jobs, he'll it's a tiny town, the owner said he got zero help from the govment. She increased benefits ffs. Kiwis in general stayed home, that's how we beat it, I watched in disbelief Brits sunbathing , attending parks as if it was normal. That's why rates of death are high. We have just been lucky.
I'd quite happily pay for the pm to go to your country, her only life experience is worked at a fish n chip shop. She destined for the UN like her hero Helen Clark.
And no, we don't want bojo. :)

I know that feeling too well. Not helped by the fact that I can drink, and do. Most days you just can get by doing the mundane routine stuff, without over thinking too much. Other days, you can wake up half way through an apocalyptic movie, trying to come to terms with the enormity of what so many people are going through, and wandering what the hell life is going to look like when it's all over. It will be over though, and the vast majority of us will get through it unscathed. Let's drink to that! (Sorry)
 
It's depressing and stressful, which makes people feel unwell overall.

Just curious, is "socialist" in NZ used as it is here, where it is applied to anyone who is not conservative. For example, Obama (and every Democrat in congress) is called a "socialist" by conservatives.

BTW, I would expect a tourist economy to take a pretty big hit. It is happening all over. Nevada re-opened Vegas, but everyone I've spoken with agrees with me that there is no way they'd go there until we have a vaccine.

Socialists as in the Chinese, many believe here we have sold out to the Chinese. I was reading earlier about the kgb trying to infiltrate the Labour Party in the 80s due to nuclear politics, our pm shut your ships out from coming here. I was against that as well.

To some degree, everyone has sold out to the Chinese, even conservatives in the US. That cheap labor is good for American corporate profits, which grease the wheels in Washington. Working class folk are also addicted to overloading shopping carts with cheap Chinese products at WalMart.

Trump talks big about punishing China for all kinds of things, including Covid-19. That gets the phones ringing in Washington from Corporate CEOs. And, if prices at WalMart go up due to tariffs and embargos, John Q Public is going to be up in arms, too. WalMart is the biggest employer in the US, too (when I was a kid, it was General Motors). Oh, and don't forget the US farmers who get hammered by retaliation from China.

I read the book on how Walmart started, about 30? Years ago. Btw I'm pretty much up with murica. Although their politics confuses sometimes.
