I just think. I isolate self of period as told 14 day this I will do. But how I know I safe and no make other sick? I still no sick and no symptom but do this mean I carrier?

Our Center for Disease Control is saying that if you aren't sick by 14 days after coming into contact with a sick person that you are okay, though you still need to self-isolate/social distance. But, that means if the hospital releases Ray before 14 days of him having symptoms of ANY kind that both of your quarantines start again for 14 days. I'm not sure what they are doing yet with patients that are better and well enough to go home, but are still within the 14 day period. From what we've been told to expect, at some point there's just not going to be room for everyone that will need hospitalization. I haven't come across any that are well enough to go home yet in my work, but expect to within the next 7-10 days as I've already come across records of 1 patient that has tested positive and required hospitalization.

I just found out that hospitals are closed to all visitors, even if the person you are visiting is not sick with COVID-19 or even suspected to have it. A poor older, blind, non-English speaking lady is hospitalized due to something entirely unrelated to COVID-19 and her family can't come in to help with her care and she's obviously scared and anxious (it's mentioned in the report). That's terribly sad but understandable I guess.

Just have text message from owner of Deli Roberto he no open tomorrow. He have two small bambini and he afraid for them. I feel sad as he may lose business! It small and only Roberto work there. I tell him after all this pass if Ray and I can help we will.

I was listening to a news report a couple of days ago, and they were saying that's what's going on in Italy - people are in hospital dying, and family can't even come in for final goodbyes, people are being buried in the clothes they died in because they can't be properly prepared for burial, things like that. It's crazy.
That's exactly what we're afraid of. Where I live now, about a dozen years ago, our major employer left suddenly and almost destroyed the town economically. We were on all the national news stories, celebrities came to donate to our food kitchen and homeless shelter, it was a big deal, because when they left, they put out of work a good portion of the town, and a lot of mom-and-pop places closed as well.
It's taken a while, but our town was just getting things worked out, we attracted some businesses (including Amazon), and now this...it's going to dismantle a lot of what was recovered.
Six months from now, when the dust hopefully settles, I think we are going to have a lot of news stories and government investigations on price gouging and other despicable business practices that individuals and companies have engaged in. I have no dougbt that, as I type this, there are desparate people paying inflated prices for things in shortage.
I believe that most people and companies are doing the right thing, but some just can't pass up the opportunity for "easy money."

The hospital I was in the last few days was being very tight on visiting privileges. You had to get a Covid-19 screening and a special wristband just to get past the entry doors. Visiting hours were very restricted, too.

Our state (Ohio) is under shelter-in-place starting tomorrow, and our county has registered its first case.
Reading the shelter-in-place rules, it's what we've already been doing the last 10 days or so, so in that respect, it shouldn't be that difficult.

One case this late is pretty good. My town has 11 cases -- with a new one added yesterday.

Our county, Broward, has 180 confirmed cases as of today. The county south of us, Dade, has 177. The county north of us, Palm Beach, has 59. Dade and Broward have 2 major international airports, both have at least 1 each of major private airports, and both are major cruise embarkation points.
We live in a 55-plus community. There are a lot more people out walking around the neighborhood I've noticed, either in couples or alone with or without a dog.
There was a news article about a big gala in Palm Beach (very wealthy event) a couple of weeks ago where a couple that attended, having just gotten home from Europe, have now tested positive.

Tasty, did you watch the Governor's press conference this afternoon? The female Dr. certainly seemed to be "doom and gloom". Understand this is nothing to fool around with but, I thought DeWine did a much better presentation of " this is serious however, we will get through it".

Daughter called into fruit n vege shop yesterday , cauliflower $10 ea. hell we are picking them from our garden, and planting more out. Maybe I could sell these,lol.

I recall talking to a taxi driver in Paris last month about how much larger the engines are in the States. In Europe, a 2.0L engine is considered a good-sized engine. Many cars have hybrid engines, and there are many charging ports available for electric cars. He told me that he'd love to get a big engine (the 3.0L in my Taurus is considered that), but the fuel is cost-prohibitive.
I don't know if it's the same in the rest of the world, but gas (petrol) prices are plummeting over here. I paid $1.59/gallon for gas in Detroit a few days ago. The prices in the States were already lower than most places. I hope the rest of the world is starting to see some relief in this.
Of course, there's nowhere to drive anymore. My commute to work was 40 miles each way. Now, the commute consists of me coming downstairs to sit on the couch. Any driving I do is to and from the market. I used to fill my tank at least once a week. Now, I think it'll be closer to once a month, if even that.

My wife's friend donated a kidney to her husband, she's not allowed to visit, but she said she will FaceTime her today. Apparently it's harder on the person that donates. Hope it works as he will prolly be laid off now, he's an air New Zealand pilot. Almost all flights stopped.
