I lost weight while not trying, 3 kilo's already ( roughly 7 lbs) . When trying nothing happened so I stopped a while ago.
I mean what?? I am so confused by my body sometimes 🤣
 
So weigh in morning again... I've spent the week hungry, so've taken to eating toast mid morning in an attempt to stop me picking... I've also had a busy week but I wasn't expecting to have lost 1.4kg in 7 days! Down to 68.6kg this morning. I even moved the scales to another area to check they were not being affected by the slightly uneven floor in the bathroom (for drainage purposes), no change.
 
While still eating way too many carbs, and a snack or snacks or a meal way too late, 10 pm, 10,30 pm...I feel better since I re-started jogging. But I would love to transform my diet, at least during the school break.

Also working on some muscle gain, but too little...so many improvement roads ahead.😊😊😊

I don't own a scale, but will notice in my clothes.
 
A gentle starting point was to first reduce wake ups at night. 4 to 6 times is exhausting per night. Last two nights I managed to eat no carb suppers, reduce water drinking to sips and limit the coffee consumption to 2 a day, and until noon.

It works. Woke up only 2 times.
Caffeine has a shockingly long half life and is a bladder irritant t’boot, good on ya for recognising that and caring about your sleep.

We only have coffee twice a day. Breakfast and lunch. It's nowhere near full strength either. For me I get a single shot in a jumbo cup, or ask for it quarter strength. That's still usually stronger than I drink it at home.

When we're out camping, it's different. I can drink it all the way up to bedtime (still very weak) and sleep as normal from exhaustion.

Indeed, my at home coffee is usually rather mild, I put less than necessary coffee, plenty of water and plant milk. Sometimes I drink decaff.
HAving the last coffee before noon is better, however questionable sustainability when work at school begins.
Maybe I'll do a mild tea ...
Oh yes, exhaustion is a different world...
 
We’re both adverse to caffeine drinks past noon. Until just this month, MrsT was under a “as little you can absolutely get by with, no more!” order from her doc, but now that her two issues have been resolved (over 11 years), he’s lessened that and has cleared her for two full-caffeine cups of coffee a day.

She’s eased into that, but has found that it upsets her stomach, so she’s backed it down to two half-caff cups a day and is doing better with that.

Our normal hot drinks routine is two mugs of regular tea in the morning, the occasional decaf coffee during the day, and one mug of decaf tea at night for me, except Fridays, weekends, and holidays, then the tea is swapped out for coffee.

For her, it’s sort of flipped: two mugs of half-caff coffee in the morning, one mug of decaf coffee or tea during the day, then one mug of decaf tea at night.

On the weight front, we’ve both gone down this week. We fluctuate a bit, but we both stay between 178-183 pounds - last time we weighed, she was 178 and I was 181. Of course, this week, she been up at a work conference, with loads of unhealthy foods catered in and vendor-provided meals and all that, and these events are horrible at providing any real weight-conscious choices.
