    Instructions:
  • Mix the ground beef with breadcrumbs and the spices
  • Mince the garlics and add to the mixture
  • Knead until combined and make thin burger patties slighlty larger than the buns
  • In a saucepan, add the olive oil and minced garlic, cook for 1-2 minutes on low heat
  • Add the tomato puree, the ketchup and season with black pepper
  • Cook and stir for 5 minutes
  • Add the butter and let it simmer until the sauce thickens
  • Brush the bottom part of the buns with the sauce and place the patties on top
  • In a hot grill pan, grill the patties with the bottom part of the buns facing up
  • Place a lid on top of the burgers to maximize the contact with the pan
  • Brush the top part of the buns with the sauce and cover the burgers with the buns
  • Cover the bottom of the pan with wet baking papers and place the burgers into the pan
  • Place cheddar or mozzarella slices into the burgers (optional)
  • Pour the sauce over the burgers and cover the pan with a lid to create steam
  • Cook for 5 minutes on low heat with the steam
  • Burgers are ready once the buns are soaked with the sauce
