My Dragon Riot knife took the stems and heads off these artichokes like I was cutting butter. 😍

I’m going to add my bread machine. I don’t use it very often but it is absolute heaven for a coeliac to suddenly be able to have great tasting bread.
It was a big spend for a loaf of bread 😂 but it’s the best reviewed machine for gluten free bread and I’m not disappointed.

Same here. I love my bread machine for a different reason. My arthritis is why I can't hand knead anymore.

I have the smaller one. I want to replace it with this one. It's wonderful to make dough. I baked a loaf in my mom's bread machine, and I hated the holes in the bottom of the loaf. So now I just make the dough. This one makes 3 lbs. of dough.

Does anyone want a used bread machine?

I'll PM you.

The horror!!! No more hand made!!! 😱
No, I haven't made mine by hand, I use my kitchen aid stand mixer. i'm not going to bake bread in it, just make dough. But I'm likely going to give it to my DH's cousin who has a pizza oven.

Edited to add that it's not my first bread machine, I had one 30 years ago when I lived in Florida. But I did make bread by hand a few years ago a couple of times before I got my stand mixer.

So on the kitchen items you love is a stand mixer worth it? I’ve looked at them many times and just thought I’d rather stick with my hand mixer.
I'm really surprised you don't have a stand mixer. I don't either. I have a handheld beater if needed for egg whites etc. Which also has a dough hook.

I don't have a mixer either. An immersion blender is fine.

I think people who make lot of cakes find a stand mixer useful. Plus, of course, for dough if you are arthritic. Thankfully, despite having many ailments I can still use my hands. Being on my feet too long can be a trial, though.

I do love my stand mixer. If you have stiff dough a handheld won't work. But if you have a bread machine or a large food processor to make dough you don't need it. But I hear it's great for large batches of cookies. I haven't done that, though.

I've had my KA around 30 years and can't recall how I was making bread without it. It's so much more efficient than me chasing dough around a bowl...

Gluten free dough is never very stiff, it’s generally a loose consistency but then even that loose consistency is too much for my thumbs.
