Layered Potato Dishes

One off my favourite layered potato dishes is potatoes and onions with 'milk for cooking. The sweetness from cooking onions this way imparts great and the potatoes give that wonderful earthy morish feeling to the dish. No quantities required, its just a grease the dish (I use olive oil), add sliced potatoes, then a layer of sliced onions (generously) and keep going until your dish is full, finishing with a layer of potatoes . Top up carefully with a 'milk' of your choice. Now cook in the bottom of the oven until the tatties are cooked and the milk had dried up. Serve.
