Microwave Egg Cooking Methods

Microwave Poached Eggs

A small bowl or ramekin or a coffee mug.
A small plate, lid or plastic wrap
1 egg - as fresh as possible
1/2 cup cold water (from the tap)

A lot is going to depend on how powerful your microwave is

Put water into vessel then carefully crack the egg into the water. Cover and microwave for 45 seconds. Wait 15 seconds then carefully uncover.

Remove egg with slotted spoon. Carefully.


NOTE - we keep our eggs in the fridge. If your egg is room temp 30 seconds will probably do.
