My basil plant isn't gonna regrow ☹️ I have to go buy a new one and transplant it for this year. Apparently it's an annual nature plant. ☹️

I have to buy a new one too. $3.32 at Home Depot. Mine was half as tall two weeks ago.

When it's not raining I keep the *bug box* over it.

Like badjak, I'm fortunate to have the climate for basil. It grows like wildfire.
No idea what variety this one is, but it's very fragrant, seeds itself, and grows fast.
I'd cut this back barely 2 months ago and made 3 jars of pesto.

That looks like one of the Thai basils.
Does it have a bit of a liquorice taste?

I just discovered there are over 30 different types of basil but, I'm quite happy with what I've got.
I like strong flavours, and this particular cultivar is strong, so that suits me and suits what I cook.
Mine does, indeed, look like Thai basil, and it's fantastic.

Those weren't bumble bees, they were Carpenter bees, I had to go to Lowe's and get some spray to get rid of them. 😭I feel so bad, but those things were chewing up my garage.
They sell little boxes around here that have 1/2" holes drilled in them that catch them. I find that leaving out worn out wooden handles from tools work well and they leave the treated (housing) wood alone.
