That looks like one of the Thai basils.Like badjak, I'm fortunate to have the climate for basil. It grows like wildfire.
No idea what variety this one is, but it's very fragrant, seeds itself, and grows fast.
I'd cut this back barely 2 months ago and made 3 jars of pesto.

They sell little boxes around here that have 1/2" holes drilled in them that catch them. I find that leaving out worn out wooden handles from tools work well and they leave the treated (housing) wood alone.Those weren't bumble bees, they were Carpenter bees, I had to go to Lowe's and get some spray to get rid of them.I feel so bad, but those things were chewing up my garage.
