Here are a few upcoming food related holidays

May 11: Eat What You Want Day
May 13: National Apple Pie Day & International Hummus Day
May 14: National Buttermilk Biscuit Day
May 15: National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day
May 25: National Wine Day
May 28: National Brisket Day & National Hamburger Day
May 31: National Macaroon Day

I was keeping up to date with these dates and posting new threads in 'food in the news' as dates came up - must get back to doing that. National Shrimp (prawn) Day gets my vote!

Years ago, I belonged to a Msn foodie group. We shared recipes based on the food of the day list. I think someone made the list up, though. Don't know where it actually came from - if it's based on anything real.

Shouldn't that be "National Wine Month"?

One of my favourite ways of serving prawns is as egg tapas. Marie Rose sauce is incorporated with the cooked egg yolk.

It's funny you put this up, that sammich I had also had mashed boiled egg, a fave of mine, they go so well together, but I didn't include in the pic in case ppl thought I was weird, which I am.lol.
