New ultra processed food label

I don't know. I suppose it's a good thing, but there are more criterea than only processing.
Fresh cream (the top fat layer of milk, not UHT etc) is minimally processed, but still not that good for you ;)
(First thing that came to mind. Don't know why as I hardly ever use cream)

I think I'd be more concerned about portion sizes than whether the food is ultra-processed or not, although it's either bad for you or bad for you, I suppose.
The other point is that the prices of ultra-processed foods will undoubtedly rise, because the companies that make them will have to go to the expense of adding another little box on their labels.

I'll hold judgement until I see what types of things it gets applied to. It could end up being just as meaningless as "free range chicken" or California's "Prop 65" labels that are plastered on practically everything.

What is California's 'Prop 65' supposed to indicate?
It's an absurd label placed on practically everything made in California that states slightly various, but to to similar effect, "(This product) is known to cause cancer in the state of California." Literally, it's on shoes, clothes, umbrellas, boats, furniture, flooring, golf club covers... everything.
