Who likes to order out when they don't have time to cook? Or if they want something different? What are your experiences? Is it sometimes good or bad?

No - very seldom, because here it's a total rip off. The services round here jack up the menu item prices of the establishments they deliver for by about 30% and that's before you pay the delivery charge, so it ends up costing almost twice what it would if you went to buy it at the restaurant. I'm not a miser, but these services are a waste of money IMHO.

The only delivery we get regularly is McDonalds who have their own delivery drivers and the delivery fee and menu items are fixed.

[EDIT] I'll go for takeout, yes. I have tonnes of options near me, mostly very good and at all price points.

Delivery takes too long where we live - food would be delivered cold and would need to be reheated. Reheating, say, a soup would be ok, but sort of defeats the purpose of not having to cook. Reheating pizza or a cheeseburger…ugh. It never tastes as good as hot from the kitchen.

We do have a tavern/bar and grille about five minutes away - I’ll occasionally go there, order something to take away, and have a beer while they make it…and even then, by the time I get home and get it plated up, it’s cooled off considerably. I’m someone who likes his food HOT!!!

We order out but we go pick the food. Never had food delivered ever, even my kids they don't like Doordash and the like, they will walk to the local shops and buy the food, bring the food back home.

I know I’ve sat at McD’s many times eating my lunch, and when I first walk in, there’s a rack of orders waiting on DoorDash, and when I walk back out 30 minutes later, most of them are still there…

I've had several bad experiences with Jersey Mikes. Either you get the wrong ingredients in your sub or no sub at all!! I threw away the sub that I had because it had blobs of friggen mayo & hot peppers in it. I didn't ask for that .My friend got no sub at all!! And if you go to one of the stores, you must watch them like a hawk. Turn your back & the wrong things will go on your sub!!!! What the hell kind of place hires idiots who don't care how your order is made?!!!!!! :stop:

My worst pet peeve is places that put frigging too much tomato sauce on the meatball subs. I hate that!!! I asked for it on the side & they still put too much sauce on the sub itself!!!!! Again, stupid idiots that just flatly refuse to make an order the way that you ask them to!!!!!!!:mad::mad:

Why don't you return the subs and get your money back, that will teach them to get your ordered right.

Best to complain in America, this is how you teach people to do it right.
