Because my husband doesn't much like potatoes (though he's a convert for my roasties/sauteed potatoes/ and gratin Dauphinois) we limit potatoes to twice a week max. The other days are pasta or rice or bread based, though usually pasta or rice because my husband isn't super fond of bread dishes either.
And I aim to please with my cooking, so I keep in mind his preferences. I regularly make lasagna or pasta bakes, and frequently eat spaghetti too.
Currently I have two boxes of ravioli sitting in the fridge, I am planning a dish with them later this week. Just not sure entirely what it should be yet. Any suggestions?
I've always eaten pasta about once or twice a week, more often when I was a child because my parents preferred pasta and bread based meals over rice and potatoes. My favorites happen to be , you guessed it, rice and potatoes. I guess we all long for what we didn't have right? As I've heard everyone in my environment who grew up with mostly potatoes and bread, long for pasta and rice
