Tis a PITA but after spending decades building an encyclopaedic knowledge of what foods and brands contain what ingredients I enjoy the obstacle course a bit. Sort of - in-spite of multiple allergies and no notice.. TA DAAA 😂

Food styling is also crucial and a photographer will not usually expect to do that. You need ' props' and interesting 'surfaces' on which to place the food. You're absolutely right, of course, which is why I'll be using my strong suits (Indian food + editing) and I'll leave the rest to Vane. Catering for diplomats
 
I'll be driving to town today.
Always interesting how many times I will be stopped at road blocks & for speeding + how many accidents I will see.
I need to drive through a mountain range and the maximum speed there is 60 km/hour and at some illogical places it is 40.
And very often there is either a roadblock or solid white line in the areas where you could overtake slow moving trucks
You can see how much I look forward to the drive....

Honestly so do I, they’re terrible for a wealthy country 🤣
 
Going to smoke some chicken today. Thinking of doing smoked chicken melts rather than tuna. Just trying to decide on a whether to do a rub and if so what 🤷‍♀️

Planning to avoid going out at all costs as Friday traffic in the West Country especially in the summer is bad but when it’s a bank holiday and the whole world wants to visit the West Country it’s gridlock.

Great word that ‘gridlock’ only coined in 80’s America and one taken onboard at speed, everyone knows what it means just on hearing it but I particularly like it as we don’t have grids 😂

Got up and we went to the meat market, an actual butcher shop, to get oxtail and they were out. Bummer since it's a bit of a drive to get there but they said I could check at the processing plant since they might have some. Called them and they had three; I'm on the way! Got two of those and some pork for Pippi. 👍
