Plans for today (2025)

All these people stopping by unannounced and bringing their food intolerances with them…I think I'm glad I have no friends IRL!
Tis a PITA but after spending decades building an encyclopaedic knowledge of what foods and brands contain what ingredients I enjoy the obstacle course a bit. Sort of - in-spite of multiple allergies and no notice.. TA DAAA 😂

When you get here to fix something know that I, and Pippi, can eat anything within the bounds of our ability to masticate. 😝

It needs to be a food photographer rather than any other sort of professional photographer. Its a very specific genre. Food styling is also crucial and a photographer will not usually expect to do that. You need ' props' and interesting 'surfaces' on which to place the food. The plating of the food is also critical and that includes the actual type of plates as well as how the food is arranged on the plate.
You're absolutely right, of course, which is why I'll be using my strong suits (Indian food + editing) and I'll leave the rest to Vane. Catering for diplomats

Today, the cleaner comes. That means I've got to be here most of the day.
Going to check a few dozen recipes, deliver some trials I made yesterday (black bean stew, India style; pakoras; chutneys, Indian spiced shortbreads), watch the European cup final and go to a wine tasting at 5pm.
