Plans for today (2025)

:p:Mine was just routine bloodwork. No surgeries or anything coming up.
It's really cool how I can read my chart online electronically as my bloodwork test results come in. Dairy girl here dropped 70 points from total cholesterol and am now in a safe zone. It really wasn't that high before, but over the line of what they consider normal. Last doctor visit they wanted to put me on 10mg of the statin drug (never took it before) and I said no, let's start with 5mg and I'll go higher if that doesn't work well enough. Apparently that worked just fine. Guess I can keep eating lots of cheese and using cream and butter as I like! And cooking eggs in bacon fat...and eating crispy chicken skin...

That's great news!

Plans involve meeting a friend at the oriental supermarket (generally I'd advise against sharing your secret safe place with other people, it kinda spoils it) and having lunch there so not all bad 😊

I've had several days worth of my mums partners children nipping at me (they're motivated by greed and avarice) and yesterday I couldn't take anymore n blew a gasket.

That involved sending a message with some choice words in it including "s*d off and leave us in peace to get on with the miserable task at hand" and then popping to the shops to replenish the gin stocks.

Needless to say I have a sore head today.
But I also haven't heard back from the vipers either so that's a win 😊

Dairy Girl! 😁

Dairy Girl! 😁
I like a little coffee with my cream. I put heavy cream in my scrambled eggs. I tend to thicken white gravies and sauces with cream instead of roux. In my cheese drawer I currently have goat cheese, gouda, edam, Havarti, 2 kinds of cheddar, mozzarella, Monterey jack, Colby jack, fontina, feta, and parmesan. We love baked 4 cheese macaroni and cheese with bacon on top a few times a month. So, yeah. Dairy girl.

I forgot DH's blue cheese (yuck)and the cream cheese. And American. And Provolone.

So the nap didn't happen, got too much going on in the family and friends circle so my phone kept blowing up.

DH's nephew is in a mental facility after his wife took the baby and went to her family's house in another state. Yeah, I don't blame her for leaving, knowing the story, but I won't get into details about that.

DH's aunt had a stroke last week while driving her car and wrecked it. She broke a few ribs, cracked her sternum, broke her right hand, and of course there's the stroke. Need to go see her Thursday after DH's cousin has to leave to go back to Nashville and of course when she gets released from the rehab facility, she will need help around her apartment and someone to run errands.

Then another friend of mine (A) just had to fly out to Alaska yesterday to bring her mother back, who was there on a trip with a friend--she fell and broke her femur. They operated on it last Saturday and she got cleared to travel yesterday. I offered to help with running errands and cooking a few meals for A's mom and dad. Her dad stayed here because he is an amputee and is in the wheelchair, so she now has two parents to take care of, plus a job, a husband, and 2 boys.

I got up, drank my tea, gonna get some coffee, and then go work.

Oh dear that is a lot to deal with. Exhausting stuff too. Take care of yourself please 🙏
